2025 BRO-AM RECAP
The 21st Annual Bro-Am was one for the record books!
It’s always about celebrating community and kids, and this year you showed up big for each other and our local youth. Their resilience inspires everything we do, and the incredible support from this community proves just how powerful (and fun!) it is when we come together.
Together we raised more than ever - over $300,000!
Why We Do This
The Switchfoot Bro-Am gathers our community to celebrate tenacious kids overcoming extraordinary obstacles and inspiring all of us. Our hearts break for the ones facing housing and food insecurity, and we want to help meet those basic needs. We also believe expressive outlets give them a reason to get up and keep going, and we’re committed to providing those too. Together with you, we serve kids who are at-risk or under-resourced to ensure they have a chance to thrive.
And our beneficiary kids brought down the house this year, crushing it on stage and in the waves!
From the stage, Save The Music Foundation brought students from Chula Vista Middle School and Rady Children’s Hospital introduced us to Julia. Together, they joined Switchfoot on stage for a heartwarming performance of Live It Well that captured the spirit of the entire weekend.
From the water, the Challenged Athletes Foundation youth adaptive surf program was truly something special. Jon and Tim Foreman’s daughters both joined in the stoke, and fellow shark attack survivors JJ and Mike Coots were out catching waves alongside an inspiring group of young adaptive athletes, all showing incredible courage and joy in the water.
The rest of our Beneficiary Youth VIPs surfed, played, laughed, and spent time with Switchfoot at Beach Fest in a day made just for them.
Relive the magic with us as we celebrate 21 years of impact, made possible by you.
The kids are the VIPs at Bro-Am!
We heard from a lot of our beneficiary kids this year that Bro-Am was the FIRST TIME they’d ever been to the beach. That moved us deeply and we’re so glad they came and received the VIP treatment!
Huge thanks to Littrell Flooring for once again sponsoring our Youth VIP Area at Bro-Am! Your support helps create a joyful, welcoming space where our beneficiary kids can feel celebrated and free to just be kids.
We’re also grateful to Surfin Fire for giving our youth their very own surf experience, many catching their first wave ever! Together, you helped make unforgettable memories that will ripple far beyond the beach.
An epic lineup!
Music is a huge part of what brings us all together and this year was no different with live performances by Switchfoot, Gable Price And Friends, Angel White, Julianna Zachariou, and 91X Battle for the Bro-Am winner, Winnabego!
Sponsor Gratitude
We are sincerely grateful for our Title Sponsor, Viasat, who has supported us for over 15 years. Thanks also to C2O Coconut Water for keepin’ everyone refreshed in the VIP Pit and BMW Carlsbad for being with us for 11 years! We enjoyed welcoming San Diego Wave FC and Outerknown to Bro-Am for the first time and we loved seeing Firewire Surfboards and Ting return again this year. Thank you to all of our vendors and everyone who participated!
We love our Volunteers!
Over 200 volunteers came from far and wide to make Bro-Am possible, and we are immensely grateful. Our Bro-Am Volunteers are the best - best attitudes, best smiles, best hearts! We couldn’t do this without you, and we wouldn’t want to.
Big thanks to our Volunteer Team Sponsor, Milikowsky Tax Law, for your role in supporting this year’s Bro-Am Volunteers.
