2026 Bro-Am Recap

2026 BRO-AM RECAP

Bro-Am 2026 was legendary!

At its heart, Bro-Am is about community and local kids. Thank you for showing up with so much generosity and joy, and for reminding us that when people come together with a shared purpose, incredible things happen.

Together we raised more than ever - over $335,000!

Why We Do This

The Switchfoot Bro-Am brings our community together to celebrate resilient kids who inspire us every day. We believe every child deserves their basic needs met and the opportunity to discover what makes them come alive. Together, we're helping local youth access the support, encouragement, and opportunities they need to thrive.

Throughout the weekend, our beneficiary youth reminded us what Bro-Am is all about. From an inspiring performance with Switchfoot featuring students from Spring Valley Academy and a young Rady Children's Hospital cancer survivor, to adaptive surfers from Challenged Athletes Foundation sharing waves with Switchfoot, to a Beach Fest VIP experience filled with surfing, laughter, and unforgettable memories, these young people were truly the heart of Bro-Am.

Cheers to our 22nd Annual Bro-Am, let’s relive it together!

The kids are the VIPs at Bro-Am!

One of our favorite moments this year was learning that, for several of our beneficiary youth, Bro-Am was their first time ever at the beach. Watching them experience the ocean, the community, and a day created just for them was something we'll never forget.

Our Title Sponsor, Viasat, also supported the Youth VIP Experience this year, and made a huge impact! Their volunteers took great care of our beneficiary kids and showed them what community means.

A special thank you to Surfin Fire for giving our beneficiary youth an unforgettable day in the water, with many catching their very first wave. Moments like these create confidence, joy, and memories that will last long after Beach Fest.

An epic lineup!

The soundtrack to this year's Beach Fest was unforgettable, with live performances from Switchfoot, Sun Room, Telephone Friends, and 91X Battle for the Bro-Am winner, Kimiko!

Sponsor Gratitude

We are sincerely grateful for our Title Sponsor, Viasat, who has supported us for over 15 years. Thanks also to Pickax for bringing their community to the VIP Pit and BMW Carlsbad for being with us for 12 years! We enjoyed welcoming San Diego Wave FC and Melin to Bro-Am and we loved seeing Firewire Surfboards and Costa Del Mar return again this year. Thank you to all of our vendors and everyone who participated!

We love our Volunteers!

Bro-Am wouldn’t happen without the incredible support of more than 200 volunteers who gave their time, energy, and heart to make the day run smoothly. From early setup to the final moments on the beach, their spirit of service and positivity set the tone for everything we experienced.

We’re also deeply grateful to our Volunteer Team Sponsor, Milikowsky Tax Law, for helping make this year’s volunteer experience possible and for standing alongside this amazing team.

Benefit Party

The Bro-Am Benefit Party brought our community together for an evening full of connection, generosity, and shared purpose. There’s something truly special about seeing our beneficiaries, partners, and supporters all in one room.

From inspiring stories on stage to an energetic auction and unforgettable performances, the night was filled with moments that reminded us why this work matters.

Two amazing members of the Bro-Am community were recognized as Legacy Award recipients this year, Kim Goodeve-Green and Liv Stone. Their impact on the Bro-Am has directly affected change in the lives of numerous kids at and beyond our events. Kim started early with Bro-Am at a beneficiary organization, and her role continued to evolve as a volunteer and major donor. Liv started her journey as a 3-time paralympic pro surf champion at Bro-Am and has come back every year to mentor and support the next generation of challenged athletes.

We’re deeply grateful to our host, Viasat, as well as Kaiser Permanente and Uptime EV Charger for their significant support. Thank you to all of our partners and contributors for an amazing Bro-Am together!

That’s a wrap!

Thank you from all of us on the Bro-Am team and our beneficiaries. We're so grateful to share this mission with you and honored to stand alongside such a passionate, generous community.

This year’s Bro-Am Beneficiaries include A Step Beyond, Challenged Athletes Foundation, Feeding San Diego, Monarch School, Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego, and Save The Music Foundation.
